Whether you are an indigenous
teacher or not this resource takes the hard work out of
teaching Aboriginal Culture to Pre-School and Early
Primary School aged children. The wonderful felt story
and book explores traditional family structure, hunting
and gathering and other important aspects of traditional
life for Australian Aborigines in a way that children
will enjoy and understand. They can even take turns
placing the felt pieces onto the felt board. The kit
includes (27) felt pieces, the story in a book, and two
delightful songs, with actions, on a CD. "The Coolamon
Song" is all about collecting bushtucker (bush food) in
your coolamon. "The Corroboree Song" touches on different
aspects of corroboree, (a special ceremony or
celebration). The songs are fun and so easy for children
